Il-Blata tal-Melh is a stretch of coastline where the cliffs drop down between one and 15 storeys. In this seeming moonscape, smooth limestone gives way to a gnarled layer of rock which naturally captures salt as the sea dries out of puddles, giving the place its name and a number of man-made salt pans. 3. There is also a nice inlet which is ideal for doing your decompression or safety.
